Video: Huff on Brown's Proposed Tax Hike, Protests

Senate Republican Leader Bob Huff (R-Diamond Bar) reports on falling poll numbers for the Governor's proposed tax hike and student protests at the California State Capitol in his Capitol Comment for this week.

Senator Bob Huff (R-Diamond Bar) keeps us updated every week with a "Capitol Comment," a quick two-minute video about what's going on in Sacramento. This week, Huff talks about California's economy, falling support for the Governor's proposed tax hike and student protests.

New polling from the Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC) shows support for the Governor’s proposed tax hike has fallen to a low of 52% That is a stunning reversal from just last January, when PPIC polling revealed strong majority support for new taxes and strong opposition to school budget cuts.

The new poll numbers come on the heels of a large student protest on the grounds of the State Capitol as thousands of students demonstrated vocal opposition to trigger budget cuts at University of California and California State University campuses.
