
Sierra Madre's Fourth of July celebrations will begin with a pre-parade and party on Wednesday, July 3 . This event will be from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will be at the Memorial Park where there will be food trucks, bubble wrap fireworks, non-profit booths and live music from a local band, Groovy Lemon Pie.
The day of Fourth of July will feature Spero Foundation’s Firecracker Fun Run, a family friendly run that will start and end at the Kester Court and will be from 8 to 9 a.m. The run costs $25 for person, check-in is from 7 to 7:45 a.m. and you can register online at www.cityofsierramadre.com/onlineregistration/keyword: fun run.
There will also be a pre-parade open house from the Sierra Madre Woman’s Club at the Essick House from 8 to 10 a.m. The open house will offer a continental breakfast and a patriotic sing-along.

Following the open house will be the Fourth of July parade that will start from Sunnyside Ave. to Sierra Vista Park. The parade will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will feature local bands, groups and other community organizations. Click here to see the complete list.
The celebrations will end with the Fourth of July picnic and celebration that will take place at Sierra Vista park from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature fireworks, community games, waterworks in the pool, food trucks and live music.
