Playing from August 19 through September 24, come see this classic opera, which first premiered in the late 19th century. Composed with music by Arthur Sullivan and libretto by W.S. Gilbert, it is set in 16th century London.

It is a Savoy Opera, classified by Gilbert and Sullivan’s first renderings of what have come to be known as the first comic operas.The plot may be a bit dark, but it still employs G&S's classic use of witty puns and satire.
Directed at the Playhouse by Eugene J. Hutchins with music directed by Brian Asher Alhadeff, it’s a showing you won’t want to miss.
