SONOMA VALLEY, CA — The Michelin Guide has added seven restaurants in Oakland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles to its 2026 Bib Gourmand list, recognizing eateries that deliver exceptional food at moderate prices.
The Bib Gourmand designation recognizes restaurants that offer exceptional quality and value, serving memorable meals at prices below those typically associated with Michelin-starred dining.
The seven additions span three California cities and showcase cuisines ranging from Korean and Turkish to Mexican, seafood, and pizza.
The new additions increase California's Bib Gourmand collection to 117 restaurants. Two are in the Bay Area, and five are in Southern California.
Since 1997, the list has ranked restaurants by considering a price limit, which varies from country to country, depending on the cost of living.
The quality metric, however, remains the same. The designation highlights restaurants that combine high-quality cooking, welcoming atmospheres, and good value.
