SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Drivers in Sonoma County were advised to avoid Fulton Road near Francisco Avenue on Sunday after a collision caused delays.
The wreck at the northwest edge of the Santa Rosa city limits was reported to the California Highway Patrol at about 6:20 a.m.
A vehicle collided with a power pole, sheering it in half and creating sparks, according to CHP dispatch traffic.
PG&E crews were called out to fix the pole and stop the sparks coming from it at about 8:15 a.m., the CHP said.
The wreck resulted in unspecified injuries for at least one party involved.
The road remained closed as of noon. There was no estimate for when it would reopen.
