The streamlined service, part of a broader county transit plan, offers low fares, free or reduced rates for youth and seniors, and aims to improve access to jobs, schools, and medical care across the region.
   

• North Bay remembers 9/11, honors lives lost in deadly terrorist attacks (pressdemocrat.com) — Sonoma residents are invited Friday to the unveiling of a new 9/11 memorial at Sonoma Valley Fire District Station 1 on Second Street West, part of regionwide commemorations. The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. and joins similar tributes from Cloverdale to American Canyon marking 25 years since the attacks.
   

• Prep football: Sonoma, Napa stat stars from Week 1 (sonomanews.com) — North Bay high school football's Week 1 stat leaders include Sonoma Valley running back Wylder Gilardi, who scored two touchdowns in a close loss to Sacramento. Casa Grande, Windsor, Analy, and other regional programs also posted big passing, rushing, and defensive performances that set the tone for the new season.
