• Woman accused of trying to kill sister during fight at Sonora-area home (uniondemocrat.com) — Tuolumne County deputies say a family dispute at a Sonora-area home ended with one woman jailed on suspicion of attempted murder and elder abuse. Investigators report the victim suffered neck and side injuries requiring an airlift to a Modesto hospital, while an 81-year-old relative was hurt trying to intervene and emergency protective orders were issued.
