(SAN DIEGO, CA) (February 4, 2013) – Puente Productions and The Miss Cinco Organization is pleased to announce that the most important beauty pageant ever produced for the Mexican women in Southern California prepares to gather over 20 women representing cities and states of the Mexican Republic. This fabulous show is open to the public and offers one young women the opportunity of a lifetime to be the official Cinco de Mayo representative in Southern California.

The Miss Cinco de Mayo Southern California Pageant brings young women from throughout Southern California to compete for the title “Miss Cinco de Mayo Southern California.” Contestants are judged in various categories one- one interviews, swimwear and evening gown. Miss Cinco de Mayo Southern California winner will be on her way to compete in November at the Miss California Latina pageant as a heritage titleholder, along with the prestige of playing an active role in the community and at Cinco de Mayo festivals.

“We are looking for a dynamic group of Latinas of Mexican heritage, 18 to 25 years of age (Miss Division) —from the Southern California region -- who are articulate, fun, elegant and beautiful,” said Marco Puente, C.E.O. of Puente Productions. “Pageant experience is a plus but not necessary.”
Our goal is to give a voice to the many Latinas in the Southern California region and create a legacy for the Miss Cinco de Mayo Southern California Pageant, After the contestants are selected, they will receive training and preparation from a hand selected team, choreographer, pageant consultant, so the contestants will be ready for a great pageant weekend, which will take place April 25-27, 2013 6:00pm in South Gate, CA.
All Southern California females ages 18-25 are asked to participate. Registration will take place from February 4, 2013, until April 12, 2013, or earlier if 20 eligible women have registered.
