Authorities Investigating Death of Cudahy Man Found with Head, Body Injuries
Investigators did not say what killed the man but are looking into the possibility of foul play

CUDAHY, CA — A homicide investigation was underway Tuesday in Cudahy, where a man with head and body injuries was found dead, authorities said.
Sheriff's homicide detectives went to the 7700 block of Atlantic Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Monday, said Deputy Kelvin Moody.
Edgar Velasquez, 26, of Cudahy died at the scene, said coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter.

Velasquez had suffered blunt-force trauma, and an autopsy was pending to determine his cause of his death, Winter said.
Investigators are looking into the possibility of foul play, said Deputy Crystal Hernandez of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.
