Back to School Health Fair Scheduled for Saturday in Lynwood

Organizers hope that this event encourages parents and kids to remember to eat healthier and lead healthier lifestyles throughout the year.

The city of Lynwood is helping to promote a giant Back to School Health Fair taking place at Plaza Mexico this Saturday, Aug. 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Be Social Productions, in collaboration with the Consulate General of Mexico in Los Angeles, and Univision 34, invite the community to a “Back to School Health Fair.” Created to inform and provide resources to parents and students who are getting ready to go back to school, this event is free and open to the public.

Organizers hope that this event encourages parents and kids to remember to eat healthier and lead healthier lifestyles throughout the school year. The event will also give families that have little or no access to health care an opportunity to get free health screenings. Information and health education booths will offer free cholesterol, blood pressure, bone density, HIV, glucose, and other screenings for attendees of the event. This event is free and open to the public.
