Liga vs Premier League? Which one is better... ?

So here we are in the new year, and as I sit her watching Arsenal play against Fulham, it got me to thinking about the discussion we had on our Facebook page, as to which league is better between Liga and Premier League.  I mean Liga has powerhouses Barca and Real Madrid, but after that, the talent pool sort of dies down.  Where as Premier has powerhouses Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, and as you go down the line, you don't loose to much in the talent pool.

I mean, didn't Man U lose to Blackburn? (where did that come from?)  Either way, as one of our Goals Soccer Center facebook readers, Geo Tecuapetla, put it:

"In La Liga there's really only Barça and Real Madrid that put up a show. Teams like Betis and Mallorca can't put up a competition. It's an unbalanced league where only two teams have all the power.

In the premier league every team has a fighting chance. Not for the title, but for a win. Chelsea, coming strong with good form, was stopped from coming to third place by West Ham United, a team that tends to be a mid-table team. Even the lowest teams put up a fight against the bigger teams because they put pressure on them rather than let the bigger teams run circles around them like in la liga. In simple terms, the premier league is better than la liga because its a stronger, team based league where as la liga is a more individualistic league with two powerhouses."

Kind of hard to argue with that, even though according to Fox Soccer, Ronaldo claims La Liga is better than the Premier League http://on-msn.com/uPUGDF. 

Now lets not lose focus here, we are not putting down MLS, Mexican League, Bundisliga, Argentinian league, etc, etc..... but in comparing Liga vs Premier, I think you could judge for yourself... your thoughts?

Although I will say, (similar to the NBA), it does seem that more superstars tend to head out to teams in Premier League vs other leagues (and yes, I am aware that Messi plays for Barca).
