Citadel Outlets Armed Robbery Suspect Caught

The robbery was reported about 5 a.m. at the outlet mall and the two victims positively identified the suspect.

COMMERCE, CA -- Sheriff's deputies caught a man suspected in the armed robbery of two customers at the Citadel Outlets in Commerce Friday.

The robbery was reported about 5 a.m. at the outlet mall off the Santa Ana (5) Freeway at Eastern Avenue, said the East Los Angeles Sheriff's Station watch commander.

While deputies pursued the suspect in a vehicle, he crashed into the center divider on the northbound Santa Ana Freeway at Triggs Street and ran, the lieutenant said.

Deputies caught the suspect a short time later and the two victims made a positive identification, the lieutenant said.
