Cooling Station At South Gate Park

Due to the excessive heat predicted in the forecast, the Parks & Recreation Department will be opening a “Cooling Station” at the South Gate Park Auditorium on Wednesday, August 19 and Thursday, August 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Members of the public will have their temperature checked and be asked a series of questions before they can come in. The main hall of the auditorium will have tables and chairs set up that will be appropriately socially spaced for residents to sit in during this time. Entrance to the Cooling Station will take place at the Rose Garden side of the building. For more information please call the Parks & Recreation Department at 323.563.5479.
