Goals Soccer Center and Univision 34 began talks about possibly bringing the tournament to South Gate prior to the completion of the center in 2010.

"It's a prideful moment for South Gate and a compliment to the city," said Garcia.

The tournament will be held at the Goals Soccer Center in South Gate, 9599 Pinehurst Ave, Saturday, Aug.4 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
