Dismissed Football Coach Claims School wanted Him to Call Police
Supporters of the former South East High football coach will be holding a protest to support him in the afternoon.
, the now dismissed coach of South East High School, was let go over his handling of an alleged locker room fight between players. The violent incident is now said to have been the beating of a freshman junior varsity player by four varsity upperclassmen.
Henderson is now alleging that he has come to find out that school officials decided that the supposed violent incident was a form of “child abuse”. Further claiming that he was let go because he did not follow the right protocol in this situation, which included a call to the local police.

, and that he began to investigate it as soon as he heard about it.
This time adding that he contacted the Athletic Director after speaking with the parent of the alleged victim.

“I spoke with his parent and I immediately called the Athletic Director,” said Henderson via phone. “I talked to the player but he didn’t give me his story.”
School officials at South East High School did not return Patch's request for a comment on Henderson’s allegations. On the other hand, the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) sent the following response via email:
“We can confirm that the head football coach (who is a walk on) has been let go. Due to the on-going investigation of the incident by school officials, no other details are available.”
The district would also not comment on the most recent allegations made by Henderson.
