Dozen-Plus Suffer Eye Irritation After Possible Fight Near Fremont H.S.
Two individuals have minor injuries after the incident. Pepper spray is believed to be the irritant used.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- A fight at Fremont High School today resulted in a couple of minor injuries and the treatment of as many as 17 people after an irritant -- believed to be pepper spray -- was set off.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel were sent early this afternoon to the campus at 7676 S. San Pedro St.

The incident may have involved a female ROTC student and other females, according to a report from the scene.

THURSDAY, JUNE 2, 1:15 p.m.
LOS ANGELES, CA - Paramedics this afternoon are in the area of John Fremont High School, at 7676 S. San Pedro St. in South Los Angeles, on a report that as many as 17 people were exposed to an "irritant'' that may be pepper spray, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The incident possibly stemmed from a fight at or near the school.
Most of the patients complained of minor eye irritation, with two suffering minor injuries from the melee, according to the LAFD.
No one was being transported for hospital treatment.
