We welcome Ernie Hernandez as the new Lynwood City Manager. Mr. Hernandez officially begins his duties today (Monday, March 22)

He brings a wealth of municipal management experience to the position. He most recently was City Manager in neighboring Hawaiian Gardens where he served in that position for four years. Prior to that he was Deputy City Manager in Norwalk for nearly a decade.
He brings extensive experience in leading and directing municipal administrative and operational functions. He comes to Lynwood at an important time for our city as we begin to recover from the COVID-19 public health emergency which has hit our region very hard.

The Lynwood City Council congratulated Michelle Ramirez who been Acting City Manager for the past several months. She will return to her duties as Community Development Director this week.
Mr. Hernandez, who also worked for the cities of Santa Ana, Long Beach and South El Monte, holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Long Beach State University, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the California State University Dominguez Hills.
