Latino/Hispanic Heritage Month is the period from September 15th - October 15th, when people recognize the contributions of Latinos to the United States and celebrate their heritage, art, history, and culture. By setting aside this month-long celebration, the goal is to strengthen the Latino community, by building bridges between people from a variety of different backgrounds with a common interest in the Latino experience.
At ChimMaya, we celebrate the Latino experience every day, by showcasing the incredible talent that is uniquely born of the Latino community.
As Latinos continue to emerge in the public eye, no longer content to be a silent minority, we do so with pride, honor, and the wisdom to shape our own destinies. We exist in every facet of society and are woven into the diverse tapestry of the United States and the world.
We invite you to join us for the opening reception on Sunday, September 16th.
