A unique and touching comedy written in English by Lina Gallegos, with Spanish translation by Denise Blasor

Take one old raunchy ranchero from Waco, Texas and a stuffy Señora from San Juan, Puerto Rico - stick them in a rest home in Kansas where the only thing they share is the early bird special and a couple of kids whose lives are too chaotic to give them the care they need. Shake things up with a steamy salsa, infuse it with a bolero, laugh it off with a late night rendezvous, shake them with some Vitametavegamin vitamins and what do you get?

A couple of Senior Sweethearts!

Can rice, beans and romance keep them together or will their scandalized offspring break up their steamy asopao.

Wild in Wichita/Locuras en Wichita is a bilingual romantic comedy that explores nursing homes, loneliness, depression, mortality, cultural differences, Latin music and love at any age.The story examines what reaching a "certain age" really means and of how society reacts to what are considered "old people".

Sweet, funny, touching and heartfelt, "Wild in Wichita/Locuras en Wichita" is the Award-winning Play of the 2009 MetLife 'Nuestras Voces'National Latino Plays Initiative sponsored by MetLife Foundation and the 2012 Hola Award in NY forOutstanding Achievement in Playwriting.

Denise Blasor will be directing this insightful, moving comedy by Lina Gallegos, which will be performed in both English and Spanish.

The first two weekends are in Spanish and the last two weeks will be in English.

This event also is showing on Sundays at 3pm, for the entirety of the month.
