Find Registered Sex Offenders in South Gate

The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department recently released a reminder sharing links that direct community members to a list of sex offenders in Los Angeles County.

Finding out where sex offenders reside in South Gate is quite simple thanks to Megan's Law, which requires state law enforcement agencies to make information about registered sex offenders available to the public.

According to the Megan's Law website, there are 80 registered sex offenders currently residing in South Gate. There are also multiple sex offenders who live just outside the city limits. 

"One of the major reasons why it is important to be informed about sexual assault is so that you can take steps to prevent it," according to the site.

 According to the site, thirty six of the offenders listed in South Gate are in violation of their registration requirements. Any information about their whereabouts should be provided to the .

The site states that some of the offenders listed may have relocated from South Gate.

In fact, one of the many currently listed as in violation is , who was arrested in May shortly after confessing to being the perprator of a gruesome double homicide that happened in Iowa.

The LASD reminds residents that with the appropriate information, there are steps you can take to reduce your child's or your own risk of sexual assault.
