“Many families in our community have limited or no health insurance. As a result, children are not able to complete the immunizations that are required to attend school," said Gilda Acosta, director of Healthy Community Initiatives.
“The Back-to-School Health Fair helps families meet this requirement and assists them with health benefits enrollment to further link them to needed health care services. We encourage everyone with school-aged children to come," she said.
The event registration is open until 1 p.m. and parents are asked to bring their children's immunization records.
