Ninety-nine years ago, Lynwood was officially incorporated as a city. The City was named after the Lynwood Dairy and Creamery, a 400-acre dairy farm located at what is now Sanborn and Long Beach Blvd. And the name Lynwood? It came from the wife of the daily owner, Miss Lynne Wood.
