Investigation Underway After Woman's Body Found in Bell
The discovery was made in the 7600 block of Pine Avenue about 8:30 a.m. Thursday

BELL, CA — A woman was found dead on Thursday in a back house in Bell.
Officers were sent about 8:30 a.m. to the 7600 block of Pine Avenue to check the woman's welfare because she hadn't been seen since Sunday or Monday, according to the sheriff's department.
They found the woman's body and requested assistance from the sheriff's department.

The woman, who was over 50 years old, was wrapped in a blanket, sheriff's Lt. Mike Rosson told reporters at the scene. Investigators were awaiting coroner's personnel to arrive before examining the body, he said.
The woman's identity and cause of death were not immediately known, according to Rosson, who said there was no sign that anyone had forced their way into the residence.
