SOUTH GATE, CA -- A 2-year-old South Gate boy who was taken in a carjacking is safe and with his parents after being found in the abandoned vehicle in a Target parking lot, police said Tuesday.
Officers responded to a report of a vehicle that had just been stolen in the 10000 block of Rosewood Street around 7 p.m. Monday, said South Gate police Lt. Ignacio Patino.
When the boy's father went to pick up his daughter at his mother-in- law's home, someone jumped in the car and took off with the boy sleeping in the back, CBS2 reported.
