Lynwood: Agnes Street Improvements Begin

You may have noticed new construction on Agnes Street between Atlantic Ave. and Bullis Rd. The City of Lynwood Public Works Department started work to improve the street this week. The project will include street resurfacing, partial replacement of concrete sidewalks, curb ramps and sewer and water main replacements. Construction is anticipated to be completed this December.

Projects such as this ensure that much needed improvements are made to our aging infrastructure as well keeping our streets and sidewalks safe for residents.

We need your help to make sure we can continue improving our streets. Federal funding based on the Census helps us pay for street improvements as well as other vital Lynwood programs. We need all households to respond to the Census to make sure the City of Lynwood has an accurate count and receives the funding it deserves. The deadline has been moved earlier to September 30. Remember, every person needs to be counted regardless of citizenship status.
