The Public Works Department also works to keep Lynwood’s streets safe for our residents. That includes repairing 81 potholes, cleaning 48 bus shelters, painting nearly 600 feet of curbing, and repairing a curb and gutter damaged from an oversized vehicle.
The Public Works crews also clean up intersections after traffic collisions to ensure our streets are safe for drivers. Last week, there were two major collisions that required clean-up from Lynwood’s crews.

This is all in addition to the 94 miles of alleys that are cleaned weekly, the covering of 700 sq ft of graffiti at the City parks and the illegally dumped items left in public spaces throughout the Lynwood.
It seems the Public Works crews’ job is never done! We thank our crews for their tireless work to keep our city safe and clean.
