Man Killed, 2 Others Wounded in Willowbrook Shooting

At least one person opened fire on a vehicle at a gas station, authorities said.

WILLOWBROOK, CA — At least one person opened fire on a vehicle at a Willowbrook gas station early Thursday, killing a man and wounding a woman and another man, authorities said.

A man and a woman in the car were hit by bullets, and a man who was apparently a bystander also was wounded in the 12:50 a.m. shooting in the 1300 block of East Imperial Highway, according to reports from the scene.

The wounded woman drove the car to the Los Angeles Police Department's Southeast Station at 145 W. 108th St. to seek help, the sheriff's department reported. The man who was in the car with her died there, and the woman was taken to a hospital.

The bystander who was shot was also taken to a hospital. The severity of the survivors' wounds were unclear, and authorities did not immediately identity any of the victims.
