A man fatally struck while running across the southbound Harbor (110) Freeway in South Los Angeles was from Lynwood, a coroner's lieutenant said today.
The victim was identified as Luis Martinez, 22, of Lynwood, said coroner's Lt. Larry Dietz.
The fatal incident occurred at 4:30 a.m. Sunday on the southbound 110 Freeway at Century Boulevard, said CHP Officer Christian Cracraft. He said the victim was struck by a 2000 Toyota and that the driver was a 36-year-old man.

CHP officers arriving at the scene located the Toyota on the right shoulder of the freeway, along with the driver. The driver was not injured and alcohol was not involved in the crash.
The pedestrian, found lying in the roadway, was pronounced dead at the scene.
