Man Shot Dead In South Gate

SOUTH GATE, CA – A shooting today left a man dead in South Gate.

The shooting was reported at 3:08 p.m. in the 4900 block of Mason Street, according to Deputy Lisa Jansen of the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, which sent homicide detectives to the scene to assist South Gate police in the investigation.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The shooting took place at or near a tow yard, according to a report from the scene.
