A man was shot in the face tonight inside a South Gate Rite-Aid store, authorities said.
It happened at 8:51 p.m. at the Rite-Aid store at 9715 Otis St., South Gate police Lt. Edward Perez said.
Store employees contacted police, Perez said. When officers arrived they found the victim wounded in the face. He was taken to a hospital, where his condition was unknown.

Perez said he did not have suspect information at this time, but it was believed the shooting might have been gang-related.
