Man Wounded in Lynwood Shooting Dies of Injuries

Witnesses told investigators a male armed with a handgun was seen leaving the location on a motorcycle immediately after the shooting.

LYNWOOD, CA - A man who was wounded in a shooting in Lynwood died of his injuries Wednesday, the sheriff's department reported.

Deputies responded about 1:25 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a gunshot victim in the 3500 block of Sanborn Avenue.

Deputies found the victim lying on the grass, with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper and lower body, said Deputy Ryan Rouzan of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.

The man, whose name was not immediately released, died at a hospital at 4:42 a.m. Wednesday, Rouzan said.
