New South Gate Fitness Center Opens
Residents will be able to enjoy using all sorts of high-end equipment.

Today, July 9th is the official first day of operations of the new South Gate Community Fitness Center. The center, which is located at the South Gate Park’s Sports Center facility, boasts having the latest treadmills, exercise bikes, weight room and all other sorts of fitness equipment. Facilities that can help residents combat that weight issues have become so prevalent.
“This is one of the best opportunities that we can be offering to our residents right now,” said , Directors of Parks and Recreation. ”[Especially] with the recent information on obesity rates and inactivity in our residents.”

New membership structures are also available in conjunction with these recent improvements. Existing members will be able to between keeping their current sports center membership, which allows access to the various traditional facilities, or upgrading to a membership that include access to new fitness center, among other things. New members will have the choice of choosing either option.
Adams warned that membership rates will increase, but that the upgrades will make the extra cost worthwhile.

“Membership rates at the Sports Center will be going up,” said Adams “[However,] once everyone sees what they will be getting for it, they will understand what an incredible value it is.”
Staff is available during normal Sports Center hours to give tours of the facility, and instructors are ready to help out residents that need guidance in getting fit. For opening hours and rates click here.
