Authorities Identify Victim in Fatal Shooting
Daniel Pereyra was found dead at the scene on Dorothy Avenue.
SOUTH GATE (CNS) - Authorities today identified a man who was fatally shot in South Gate over the weekend. Daniel Pereyra, 30, of Huntington Park died at the scene of the shooting, which was reported at 7:45 p.m.Sunday in the 10500 block of Dorothy Avenue, said coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
Deputy Tony Moore of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau said a second man wounded in the attack was hospitalized in critical condition.

No arrests have been made, prompting authorities to urge anyone with information regarding the shooting to contact the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
