
The South Gate Police Department (SGPD) reports that, at around 12:15 p.m., officers near the Long Beach Boulevard and Firestone Boulevard intersection, spotted a stolen vehicle.
“Officers located the vehicle driving on the street with license plates that were stolen,” said Lieutenant Jim Teeples of the SGPD. “They found the driver in the car.”

The suspect in the car will be taken into custody.
“We have talked to the owners of the car,” said Lt. Teeples. “We feel very comfortable that he will be taken into custody.”

The case is currently pending, and the SGPD could not release more details at this time.
