Public Works Crews Clean Up Lynwood Original Text

Not only did the City of Lynwood Public Works crews clean illegally dumped items, trash and debris from nearly 95 miles of alleys this week, it also had to clean up a mess left by Mother Nature. This week’s high winds downed three large different trees across the Lynwood that had to be removed from City streets.

In addition, crews had to repair street and sidewalk damage due to unpermitted semi-trucks on Cedar, a residential street that cannot handle large trucks (that’s why there is a weight limit on some streets).

Five more households have been billed for the clean-up costs associated with illegal dumping. There are alternatives to illegally dumping your items, including recycling, donating items to a charity or taking your unwanted items to a landfill (it is less expensive than being billed by the City).
