Sheriff's Deputy Shot in Lynwood, Hospitalized
Paramedics were sent to the 12000 block of Santa Fe Avenue shortly after 1 p.m. on a report of a deputy-involved shooting.

A sheriff’s deputy was shot in an arm today in Lynwood, and law enforcement officers surrounded an apartment building where the suspect was believed to be holed up.
Paramedics were sent to the 12000 block of Santa Fe Avenue shortly after 1 p.m. on a report of a deputy-involved shooting, county fire Inspector Rick Flores said.

Sheriff’s officials at the scene said the deputy was shot in an arm and the injury was not considered life-threatening.
Dozens of deputies responded to the scene and were surrounding an apartment building in the area where the suspect was believed to be hiding.

The shooting near Santa Fe Avenue and El Segundo Boulevard was in an area policed by deputies assigned to the Century Station, she said.
