South Gate: Census Caravan And Community Kiosk

In an effort to increase morale and boost census participation in the City, we will be having a City Census Caravan/ Pop Up Kiosk this upcoming Wednesday, August 26th from 4:00pm-6:00pm in areas of the City with low response rates. This event is in partnership with the SELA Collaborative and the We Count LA Team. Similar caravans/events will be happening that date/time in the City of Huntington Park and the City of Bell Gardens as a regional census push.

The caravan/kiosks will be from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, and will start in the parking lot of South East High School.

The Census Kiosks will be located in three different areas along the caravan routes and we will be redirecting people to the booths who need help completing the census. The locations are listed below:

• Eatgud Café- 3008 Tweedy Blvd.
• El Pescador- 9535 Long Beach Blvd.
• Cesar Chavez Park- 2541 Southern Ave. In the corner of Santa Fe Ave. and Southern Ave.

If you or anyone you know needs help completing the census, please have them stop by one of the census kiosks.
