Teens Killed in Possible Gang Shooting ID'd as Shujaa Silver, Cyjia Bell

The two were killed when gunfire erupted about 8:15 p.m. Saturday near Avalon Boulevard and 81st Street.

Authorities on Monday identified a 19-year-old man and 16-year-old girl killed in a possibly gang-related shooting outside a South Los Angeles liquor store.

Two other male victims were injured when the gunfire erupted about 8:15 p.m. Saturday near Avalon Boulevard and 81st Street, the Los Angeles Police Department reported. No arrests have been reported.

Shujaa Silver died at the scene, and teenager Cyjia Bell died at a hospital, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter. Both were from Los Angeles, he said.

LAPD Sgt. Thomas Bojorquez said the surviving victims were hospitalized in stable condition.
