Today I want to talk about the homicides in Chicago and our Civil Rights. As of July 9th there have been 22 homicides. 17 black males, 2 black females, 1 unknown male and 2 unknown female. This info is according to http://homicides.redeyechicago.com/. Everybody is focusing on the death of Trayvon Martin which was a terrible thing but what about the 17 black males in Chicago? Maybe it’s because they were not all killed by white people and the media can’t stir up a race war with it. The media is so good at making people think what they want them to think. What we need to do is come together and fight for our civil rights that are being taken away. I would rather be fighting against the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) provision that allows the indefinite detainment of US citizens without charge or trial. The US is no longer the land of the FREE. We are turning into a police state and nobody is paying attention.
