Woman Killed, Man Wounded in Cudahy Shooting

No suspects were in custody in connection with the incident

CUDAHY, CA - A woman was fatally shot and a man was wounded in the Cudahy area of unincorporated Los Angeles County on Wednesday, authorities said.

Homicide detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department responded to the 5000 block of Elizabeth Street, just west of the Long Beach (710) Freeway, at 2:29 a.m., Deputy Kelvin Moody said.

The shooting victims were taken to a nearby hospital, where the woman was pronounced dead and the man was treated for his wounds, Moody said.

No suspects were in custody in connection with the incident, Moody said.
