UPDATE: Woman Missing after Release from Lynwood Jail

The authorities are asking for the public's help.

UPDATE: At approximately 1:00 p.m. the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department issued a message stating that Deanna Terry was found safely in Los Angeles. 

LYNWOOD (CNS) - Authorities asked for the public's help today in locating a 21-year-old Palmdale woman with a history of mental health issues who was last seen a week ago when she was released from jail in Lynwood.

Deanna Terry was let out of the Century Regional Detention Facility at 11705 Alameda Street at 12:54 p.m. a week ago today  after being cleared for release by the jail's mental health staff, then given bus tokens so she could return to her home on East Fourth Street, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department statement.

Terry is black, 5 feet 4, 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, a 1-inch scar above her right eye, a tattoo on her upper right arm that reads "Delores,'' one on her upper left arm that says "Richard,'' and tattoos on her thighs - "Dovie RIP'' on the right, and "Eddie RIP'' on the left. She also has stars tattooed on both legs between her knees and ankles.

She was wearing a red sweatshirt and blue jeans when she was last seen. Anyone with information on her whereabouts was urged to call the Missing
Persons Detail of the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.

Why Terry was jailed was not immediately released.
