• SPUSD Teacher of the Year Jennifer Velez Simon Earns Los Angeles County Top 16 Honor (pasadenanow.com) — South Pasadena families can celebrate as Arroyo Vista teacher Jennifer Velez Simon has been named one of Los Angeles County's top 16 teachers, representing South Pasadena Unified in the countywide competition. The district also honored site Teachers of the Year from Marengo, Monterey Hills, South Pasadena Middle, and South Pasadena High, underscoring SPUSD's long-standing reputation for strong academics and community support.
   

• Rose Court announced for Pasadena's 138th Rose Parade (presstelegram.com) — Pasadena's newly announced Rose Court for the 138th Rose Parade includes finalists from South Pasadena High School, giving local students a visible role in this long-running regional tradition. While none from SPHS made the final seven, Clare Vitt, Zoe Chen, and Isabelle Whiting were among just 27 teens selected from 41 area schools for their leadership, academics, and community involvement.
