Bizarre Crash Leaves SUV Teetering Over South Pasadena Overpass
Part of the 110 was shut down when a man rammed an SUV into an overpass guardrail and fled with the SUV teetering over the side.

SOUTH PASADENA, CA — A crash on a South Pasadena overpass Wednesday prompted the closure of a freeway lane after some debris fell onto the roadway and police are looking for the driver.
The crash was reported around 9:05 p.m. on the Arroyo Drive overpass of the southbound Arroyo Seco (110) Parkway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A man driving an SUV struck a guard rail on Arroyo Drive and the vehicle was hanging over the side of the overpass, according to the South Pasadena Police Department.

The driver bailed from the vehicle but police said they believe they know who the driver is based on identification left in the vehicle and were looking for him. No one was hurt in the crash.
A witness told police it looked like the man sped up and deliberately struck the rail.

Debris from the crash fell onto the No. 3 lane, prompting a temporary closure to remove it.
