Dadmissions on Endeavour

Dadmissions on the Shuttle Endeavour. Find me on Facebook at Dadmissions The Book.

When I was in fifth grade, we watched the Shuttle Challenger liftoff on TV in my elementary school. Being from New England, everyone was beaming with pride for the first teacher in space who made her home in New Hampshire. Challenger ended in tragedy but it led to Endeavour which was built right here in Southern California in tribute. It was great today to see Endeavour make one final flight over LA landmarks as the shuttle program wraps up. Today, I grabbed my own four year old and made sure she too got to see the shuttle on TV. Southern California responded with a show of patriotism and pride which was fitting for the shuttle program. It's a sign that people will long remember the dreams of all our brave astronauts and trailblazers like teacher Christa McAuliffe.
