will continue the citywide reading project 7 p.m. Friday with the screening of “Farewell to Manzanar." The event tonight will kick-off with a Q&A by Houston.
The free program will be presented in the at 1115 El Centro Street and doors will open at 6:30 p.m. No tickets or reservations are necessary. The Japanese American National Museum will be selling copies of the “Farewell to Manzanar” DVD.

The program is part of a city-wide reading effort that is part of Cal Humanities’ “California Reads” project with funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities The program is co-sponsored by the South Pasadena Public Library and the Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library.
