Patch Blog: Should SPMS Kill The Audio Book?

Parents of South Pas middle schoolers: Be aware that some teachers (english and science) utilize audio books in their teaching methods. 

They will tell you that this is a viable and appropriate teaching method. 

I say, what the hell happened to assigning a reading assignment for homework and then discussing the book during class? Our kids deserve to be challenged and become excited about books—not to be lazy and listen to the book and await the movie. 

This is NOT okay.

READ FIRST, WRITE BETTER, INCREASE VOCABULARY, LOVE BOOKS and ENJOY LEARNING. KILL the AUDIO BOOK!
