Elderly Woman Found Dead In Alhambra; Man In Custody
Police are investigating the death of a woman in her 70s as a homicide. Her body was found in an Alhambra backyard.

ALHAMBRA, CA — A woman was found dead Wednesday in Alhambra, prompting an investigation by homicide detectives, and a man was later taken into custody.
The death was reported about 12:40 p.m. at an condominium complex in the 1800 block of Garvey Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
The woman, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Deputy Ryan Rouzan of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.

She was believed to be in her 70s and was found in a back yard at the complex, according to a report from the scene.
Detectives with the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau were dispatched to assist Alhambra police with the death investigation.
