The community is invited to a reception hosted by South Pasadena Middle School PTA Arts and Architecture Restoration Committee to welcome back Donal Hord’s 1933 cast stone bas relief panel “Civilian Conservation Corps Workers.” 

Over the years, Hord’s relief panel has been relocated, painted, sandblasted, and exposed to the elements and has been the top priority of the Arts and Architecture Restoration Committee. 

Thanks to contributions from PTA, Alumni and a generous grant from the Los Angeles County Preservation Fund of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Conservator Rosa Lowinger has cleaned and restored the relief which is now installed in the SPMS auditorium foyer.
