A woodwork shop sustained minor damage in a fire at South Pasadena High School, authorities said Thursday.
The fire appeared to have started in a trash bin and spread to the walls of the woodworking shop, where it was contained, San Gabriel Fire Department Division Chief Richard Beckman told a news videographer at the scene. It was reported around midnight.
The fire was fought by units from South Pasadena, Alhambra, San Gabriel and Pasadena, Beckman said, and was knocked down around 12.45 a.m.
