GET IN SHAPE THIS SUMMER!
Summer will soon be here and you have realized you haven’t been as consistent in attending the gym as you originally planned back in January. Don’t despair! Instead, get remotivated and do something about it! Here are a few steps to help you get that jump start.
To get into shape, eating healthy food contributes about 80% toward getting the results you are seeking. So let’s first focus on y our diet. Go into your pantry and toss out all the junk that has snuck back into your home. Get rid of the empty carbs like sugary cereals, bleached crackers and bread, and of course the deserts. Don’t give away this processed food - why poison your friends? Just muster your courage and throw it all away.

Next, make a weekly list of what you would like for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Load up on lean meats, nuts, fruits and vegetable. Make it a goal to pack daily lunches so you don’ t end up with fast foods. For breakfast, you can eat eggs with fruit and oatmeal. Don’t purchase instant oatmeal – it is processed and has too much sugar.
For lunch, focus on protein with a salad. Find new recipes on line for healthy, unprocessed dressings. One of my favorite summer dressings is lemon with Lawry’s Salt. It is refreshing and has zero calories.

At dinner, eliminate carbs and instead load up on vegetables with your protein. If you are still hungry after dinner, especially if you are craving something sweet, slow down and sip a cup of tea. By the end of the cup you will feel satisfied and happier the next morning for not overindulging.
Last but not least you must incorporate exercise into your lifestyle. Our bodies were not made to sit all they – they’re made to move. The more you sit, the more you will have health issues like a bad back or hips. . There’s a huge price to pay for being inactive, and you’ll see it in your future medical bills!
The most effective way to get yourself moving is to form a group of friends or co-workers with whom you can walk or jog. Plan to meet three times a week for 30 minutes a session. Along with walking or jogging, you should also start weight training, so you can burn calories faster and shape out your body.. If you have never weight-trained before, hire a trainer so you learn proper form and technique. And find a workout partner to help you stay accountable
